Photoblog: The Beating Heart of Bogota

Last Saturday we took another step in our journey to make Uncover Colombia a reality, we had our first city tour in Bogota.  It was a very exciting moment and a huge step for the Uncover Colombia Team, it was the culmination of our planning and work during the last months. We were very pleased with the results and we believe our costumers also had a very good time.

Our first tour happened in “La Candelaria“, the colonial and historic neighbourhood in Bogota. It is where the city was founded in 1538 and where many events that have changed the history of the country have taken place. A walk around this area gives you a sense of the day-to-day life of the city plus the cultural and bohemian environment provided by the historic buildings, museums, churches, shops and restaurants. For us, La Candelaria is “The Beating Heart of Bogota”.

As you have probably read in our previous blog posts, we have already launched other tours in Bogota that are also happening over the coming weeks. We will keep you posted on the results of these tours. At the same time we are also working to launch more tours around Bogota and surroundings and our big tours around Colombia, we will be launching them very soon.

After these introduction we leave you with some pictures of the places visited during our first tour. this, dear reader is the beating heart of Bogota.
